This Passeport Big Bang / CERN iPhone / iPod / iPad application is
the one developed for the Passport to the Big Bang project, an interactive circuit through which you can explore the LHC, the CERN particle accelerator. This giant machine accelerates tiny pieces of matter, i.e. particles, to bring them up to very high energies.

The app contents 2 main parts.

The first one is dedicated to the cycle routes that allow visitors to complete a circuit of the LHC at ground level, by passing from one Passport to the Big Bang platform to the next.

The second one is dedicated to the ‘Mission LHC’, an interactive treasure hunt that will take visitors to the heart of the Laboratory. The large Hadron Collider has stopped working. Visitor is needed to get it running again. He is invited to collect 10 personal activation codes around the ten stages above the LHC. Codes are registered online as the treasure hunt advances up until its final phase, the LHC start (inject / accelerate / focalize / collide).

With all the codes collected, visitor can try to start up the LHC to claim his reward.
